This isn't just a horseback ride. We'll teach you the whole time about the horses: what makes them the way they are; what cues to pay attention to, like the way they point their ears, their eyes, the way they hold their heads; the bridle, saddle, and other tack.

We offer a wide range of trails through the Black Hills National Forest**, from easy, flat paths to more adventurous terrain — all tailored to your comfort and adventure level.
No horseback riding experience? You’re in good company! Most of our riders have little to no time in the saddle and they’ve loved every minute. Before we ride, we’ll match you with the right horse, walk you through clear instructions, and cover key safety tips.
Helmets are provided (and required for any rider under age 18), and we won’t head into the forest until you’re confident and ready — because your enjoyment is what matters most.

I'm Pat Rowe — I grew up on a beef cattle ranch as a real-life cowboy but traded the open range for the military and Corporate America. Now I am back where I belong, on horseback, ready to share the magic of my 20-acre Black Hills ranch and the forest trails beyond, with you.
